If it comes down to Former City Council Member Diggs Brown who is currently serving in Africa, or Unidersity of Colorado Board of Regents member Tom Lucero, who will you vote for.
Both are considered ‘conservative’ and have support from different people. However come election day (possible) one of them will be chosen by CD-4 Republicans to run against freshman Congresswoman Markey.
Below is some information from both their websites of why they should be elected. In Diggs’ case it is his draft movement site.

LOVELAND, CO – Today Tom J. Lucero (R-Loveland) announced that he has formed an exploratory committee to
consider a run for Congress in Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.
“I want to thank those people who have unexpectedly called and encouraged me to run. It is because of the
overwhelming support and encouragement from those who have already committed to lend support that we have
formed this committee,” stated Lucero.
Lucero currently represents the 4th Congressional District as an elected member of the University of Colorado
Board of Regents, and has been elected twice to that post in district-wide elections. Lucero was first elected in
1998 and re-elected in 2004 with 72% of the vote.
Lucero has worked tirelessly the past ten years at the University of Colorado to keep budgets in check and tuition
affordable. He has fought against cost increases in higher education that are completely out of control and has
worked towards strengthening academic standards. Lucero believes that “education is the critical foundation to
ensuring our ongoing global competitiveness.”
Having owned and operated a business, Lucero knows first-hand the challenges facing business. Lucero
appreciates the ingenuity of American business, particularly the millions of small business owners who are the
engine that power our economy.
Lucero stated, “The path out of our current economic recession is to reduce hurdles and provide incentives for
businesses and entrepreneurs to create jobs and spur real economic growth. Large-scale handouts and giveaways
of taxpayer funds will not lead to long-term economic prosperity. The people of this district, Colorado, and the
country deserve better from politicians in Washington.”
